Pear and chocolate cake recipe of 31-01-2011 [Updated on 03-10-2018]

There chocolate and pear cake conquers for its softness, its flavor and its scent, it is truly exquisite. To make this perfect fluffy cake it is above all the combination of the sweet of pears and the bitter cocoa, a classic combination that lends itself to any type of occasion. For this Pears Cake you can choose whether to add a sprinkling of icing sugar or a dark chocolate ganache to the surface, serving it at the end of a lunch or even for breakfast and snack. If dark chocolate and fruit (especially pears) are a perfect match, the addition of macaroons in the dough makes everything even more apt;) Although I have tried more recipes to make this dessert, the one I propose today turns out to be my favorite precisely because it seems to me to have an extra gear and does not present particular difficulties to be realized. In short, you just have to prepare it for your family and find out what they think, then please let me know their comments;)

How to make a pear and chocolate cake

Peel and cut the pears into wedges, put them in a bowl with some brown sugar rum, mix and leave to flavor

Meanwhile, in a thick-bottomed saucepan, melt the dark chocolate together with the butter.Separate the yolks from the whites and whip the latter until stiff. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolks with the sugar until creamy.

Then add the melted chocolate together with the butterThen add yogurt and continuing to whisk add flour, starch and baking powder.

Coarsely chop the amaretti and add them to the mixture together with the whipped egg whites. Mix gently with a wooden spoon until a homogeneous mixture is obtained

Now pour half of the dough into a greased and floured cake pan.

Then cover with the pears arranged in a radial pattern. Cover with the remaining mixture then add the leftover pear slices.

Bake the pear and chocolate cake in a preheated static oven at 180 degrees and bake for about 1 hour.

Once it has cooled, transfer the dessert to a serving dish and serve.

And here is a detail of the inside of the cake
